DISPOSABLE SHOOT #2

After my first shoot, I decided that I liked the way that my images looked in warmer lighting with more soon so decided to do my next disposable shoot in more sunny environments. My images came back showing beautiful colours of blue, green, orange, I was pleasantly surprised by the tone that the camera created.
This particular shoot took place midday when the sun was at the highest point, I was able to capture the different ways that light had impacted the surroundings.
I really enjoy the blue of the sky across all of these photos, it's perfectly exposed and looks very dramatic. These images reflect the 'analogue' style that many look for when shooting with older/less advance technologies as they appear to have grain in some aspects and have a very warm tone running throughout.
I've noticed that in some of my photos the sky appears darker towards the edges of the image, in almost an elliptical shadow which I think looks really interesting and is something I may explore more into.
I also used my last few photos up during the early evening when walking around a similar area to see how the colours would fair differently. I didn't use the flash on any of these images, and I'm glad I made that decision. The colder night sky creates a gorgeous merge of colours with purples, pinks and blues as I shoot with light behind me, and more reds, oranges and yellows as I shoot towards the light. It's really interesting to see how the camera adapts to different surroundings and still creates interesting visuals but with completely different tones. I particularly like the first image seen above with the river reflecting the scenery above it. I creates a calm settled scene which reflects the setting perfectly.

I've chosen to display this image on its own as I don't think it falls into any other category well enough. This photo was taken at the same point as the sunny earlier ones but behind that specific setting, on the other side of the houses. I wanted to see how the camera would capture this scene, with light leaking in from the side of the house and I think it created a really interesting result. The almost rainbow circle of light/lens flare that we see in the centre of the photo is often mimicked in photo/video editing, when people are wanting to achieve an amateurish/analogue look on their images and videos. The camera struggled to expose the image correctly as I was directly facing the sunlight, and because it isn't an advanced camera created a strange looking 'not perfect' final image. I'd like to keep working with these types of camera and pushing them to the limits to see what other interesting imagery I can create.
